Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Jade began working professionally at an extremely early age as a model and actress for the Kim Dawson Agency Dallas. Her involvement in entertainment industry ensued in college when she interned at 105.7 KTFM in San Antonio, Texas. Jade’s strong work ethic, radiant personality and professionalism enabled her to be promoted from a non-paid intern to a weekend air-personality and the stations Assistant Promotions Director during her junior year of college.
Three months after graduating from Texas State University with a B.A. in Public Relations, Jade returned back home to Dallas and began her dream career at K104 FM. She is no stranger to work, as she humbly began at K104 working an over night on-air shift from 2am to 5:30am, as well as working full time on the promotions team. After that, she hosted her own night show which is where she was actually given the name “Lady Jade” by Cat Daddy, one of her radio mentors. After working nights for two years, she was asked to join the K104 Morning Show, which she has co-hosted for the last 10 years. The K104 Morning Show is heard by millions of listeners, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 10am.
Lady Jade has co-hosted several television shows such as Dance Club 21 and Flava TV. She has acted in several stage plays; such as Christmas in the Hood, I’m Still Your Mama, and JD Lawrence’s stage play Suspicion, Lies & Death Pies. Lady Jade was also featured on the cover of Hair Revolution Magazine, along with a 3 page spread, and she has also been featured in Cosign Magazine.
As a representative for K104, Lady Jade has conducted hundreds of celebrity interviews and hosted hundreds of events, including: concerts, fashion shows, club events, The Summer Fun Tour for the last seven years, The High School Battle of the Bands in front of crowds exceeding 15,000 people annually, and the Nike Bring Your Game Event alongside WNBA’s Skylar Diggins, to name a few.
Lady Jade, known as one of the most community involved radio personalities in Dallas Fort Worth, was recently recognized as one of Who’s Who in Black Dallas. Jade was also selected as one of the Millennials To Watch in 2017, she received Dallas’ Influential Women award from the 10 Shades of Success organization, and was one of the first 5 recipients to receive the 2017 Dallas Unity Award for her contribution in bridging the gap between the community and our local law enforcement. Her passion, love and commitment to the community and children are made evident through her service as she speaks at hundreds of schools every year, volunteers her time at local recreation centers, foundations, and foster facilities. She is currently in the process of developing Project 16; her 501c3 non-profit organization geared towards helping less-advantaged youth.
Above everything, the two things Lady Jade values most in life are her family and her faith. She loves sports, traveling, and Beyoncé (lol), and also considers herself a shopaholic. Her life’s motto is Proverbs 31:30…
”Charm is deceitful and beauty fades, but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised”.
